Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop

Hey everyone!  Today I am participating in the Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop!  You should be joining me from Majken's Blog!  Welcome!

Here is the layout that I created for today...

A few weekends ago, I scrapbooked with a friend of mine and I decided to get all caught up on the birthday layouts of my kiddos!  My daughter is almost 6 and just am all caught up on her Birthday Scrapbook!  YAY!

I love this little embellishment and the washi tape!

I think I get bonus points for this layout!  I actually am scraping someone else's stash with this Cinderella embellishment!  I took this off of someone else's hands a while ago and I finally used it!

Now don't forget to head on to the next blog in the hop.  When you are done here you are headed back to the top to see Cathy's Blog!  So have fun and leave some love along the way!

I just love all of the hearts and when I saw this sketch, I knew it would be perfect for any pictures of my little girl!

Brooke started gymnastics a few months ago with a friend and I love these little pictures of her!

I think my favorite part of the layout is the little elements in the top left corner!  I love the "the BIG day" stamp by Heidi Swapp.  It's prefect because Brooke was so excited about her first day of gymnastics!

I hope that you will stop by the Practical Scrappers blog to see what the other Design Team Members created today and leave them some comment love!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Practical Scrappers: On Trend - Chalkboard

Today over at Practical Scrappers we are showing you example of the fun Chalkboard Technique!

You can create the chalkboard look with black cardstock and white ink or paint or chalk.  But there are a lot of companies that are now creating papers, stickers and embellishments with the Chalkboard Technique already applied to them.

On my card today I used a sticker that was created as a Chalkboard word bubble.  I just love this card and I hope you do too!

Make sure you head on over to the Practical Scrappers blog today to see what the other Design Team Members came up with!  You won't want to miss the fun layouts and cards!

Practical Scrappers: December Layout Sketch

It's time for the December Layout Sketch over at Practical Scrappers.  I love Layout Sketches!  They are the best thing to get you going when you just don't know what to do!

Here is our sketch this month...

And here is my take on it...

I just love this picture of my little man, Noah.  It was taken right after waking up from a nap about a year ago.  He still looks like this after nap time most days.  He just doesn't like to wake up...but Momma likes for him to go to bed later that night!

I used the the Echo Park Kit, Scoot for this layout.

I hope you enjoy my take on the sketch.  Be sure you stop by the Practical Scrappers main blog and see what the other ladies have been up to this week!

Here is the sketch we are working from today...

And here is my take on it...

It's so easy to look at this sketch and think...Christmas!  But I just got this cute paper pack: You Are My Happy by Teresa Collins and I wanted to use it!!

SSINKspiration: Quick & Easy Cards

It's time for some Quick & Easy cards over at the SSINKspiration blog today!  I love Quick & Easy cards!  It's what I mostly create!  I don't like to spend more than 20 minutes on one card!

Today I have a little Halloween card for you!  I used the Witches Brew Washi Tape that is in the Holiday Catalog!  I love these designs!!

I started this card with a Basic Gray card base.  I added a strip of Tangerine Tango chevron DSP from the Brights Stack of DSP.  Then I wrapped washi tape around some Whisper White Baker's Twine and tied a bow on each end.

The "Trick or Treat!" sentiment comes from the Best of Halloween Stamp Set!  It's one of my favorites right now!

Make sure you stop by the SSINKspiration Blog today to see the other Quick & Easy Cards created by the Design Team.

Supplies Used
Cardstock: Basic Gray

Practical Scrappers: September Layout Sketch

**If you are here looking for my Friday Favorites post, please click here or scroll down to find it.  Thanks**

Today over at Practical Scrappers we are working with a fun Layout Sketch!

Here is the sketch that we were given to inspire us this month...

I loved this sketch but I decided to make it a two-page layout.  Most of the scrapbooking that I do ends up being two-page layouts because I have so many pictures to work with.  I'm kind of obsessed when I'm behind the camera!

Here is my layout (Click on the picture to enlarge)...

This layout is about the day when we visited a local dairy farm, Shatto Milk Company.  It was rather easy to make this one-page sketch into a two-page layout!  When you so many pictures to include, you don't need much else on the page, right?!

I wanted to highlight a great scrapbook embellishment that you can typically find when you got to a touristy business or on vacation...a cloth patch.  These patches are typically ironed on to a bag or jacket or might even be pinned to a bulletin board.  But I love to use them for scrapbook embellishments.  They are usually under $5 and so cute!  The cow in the top right of my layout is a patch.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today!  Make sure you check out what the other Design Team Members did with the sketch today over at Practical Scrappers and leave them some love!

Practical Scrappers: Storage Ideas

Today over at Practical Scrappers we are talking about Storage Ideas.

Did you know that Stampin' Up! sells empty stamp cases?!  I love them, not just for extra stamps that I have hanging around my craft room, but for organizing all of the little things that come with crafting!

Full Wood-Mount Stamp Cases (set of 4) #127551  $6.95

I started using these cases to keep my current Stampin' Up! embellishments in order.

Here is what I keep in the boxes:
*Baker's Twine and Linen Thread
*Candy Dots, Jewels, Pearls
*Ribbon Scraps
*Washi Tape

I also started using these boxes for my reinkers! There are 10 colors per collection and 10 reinkers fit rather nicely into a case!

I went a little crazy ordering these cases!  What else can I put in them?!  Hmmmm....

Don't forget to stop by the Practical Scrappers blog today to see other ideas on craft room storage!

Practical Scrappers: September Card Sketch

It's time for another card sketch over at Practical Scrappers!

Here is the sketch that we were given to be inspired by this month...

And here is my card...

I basically took the idea of notebook paper and the school theme and then made it my own!

I created the file folder card using Stampin' Up!'s new envelope punch board!  If you would like to watch a tutorial, you can click here.  This video isn't done by me but she does a really good job explaining everything!

So create the spiral notebook paper look, I punched little holes along one side of the designer paper and then cut from the edge into each hole.  After cutting you will just bend, fold, and ruffle those edges so that it looks like this piece of paper was torn from a notebook!

This sentiment is stamped on the inside of my card!  I love this for a teacher!!

Well thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to visit the Practical Scrappers main blog today to see what the other Design Team Members came up with!
