Happy Thanksgiving

Last week we received our first Thanksgiving card. It was from my Mother-in-Law, Jean. (She's the one that sent the turkey too!) I just love this card. She embossed the leaves in black and then colored them some how...share your ways Jean!

I just love this fall color scheme and the layout! I may have to use it for inspiration this week!

Cute Little Turkey

Brooke received this cute little turkey in the mail from her Grandma Jean. I just love it! She was carrying it around yesterday making it tickle me and her Daddy. So cute!

October Club Scrapbook Layout

Sorry that it's taken me so long to get this posted. There have been a lot of things going on lately and I have had a super cranky little girl and that just leaves me with little to no motivation to get anything posted on my blog! But I just took tons of pictures this afternoon and hopefully will fill your next few days or weeks with blog after blog!

This month is club we focused on the fabric that is currently in the Holiday Mini! It was so much fun to create these flower-type embellishments for scrapbook pages!

Journaling Reads: "Family Pictures . November 28, 2010 (which upon further inspection should read 2009!) . Brooke @ 9 Months"

The Candy Cane Christmas line has great papers, fabric and buttons that all go together and I just love it all!

And here is the right side of the layout. This layout is going in Brookes "1st Year" album(s).

Journaling reads: "These pictures were taken for our 2009 Christmas cards. I love them! Some of my favorites are of you and Daddy. You both are so cute together! :)"

Hope you enjoy and come back tomorrow for more!

October Club Card #2

Here is card #2! I made this card to be this way. But everything about it just screams to turn it over on it's side. Hmmmm...I guess it's a intrepretive card.

I love the use of fabric on this card and all the different textures that you will find here: textured cardstock, grosgrain ribbon, embossed cardstock, fabric, and a button!

Back with you tomorrow to show you our scrapbook layout!

October Club Card #1

This month in club my hostess wanted to use and learn more about fabric in paper crafting. So here is one of the cards that the card makers got to make.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base. I then added a sheet of Real Red DSP from the Brights Patterns DSP Stack. I love this paper! 40 sheets total, 2 each of 2 double-sided designs in 10 colors! I used the scallop edge border punch to create the scalloped Crumb Cake strip on the right side of the card.

I then used my Top Note die and my Big Shot to cut out the Baja Breeze with Real Red polka dot fabric! Add a circle punch, a Big Designer Button and some Linen Thread and you have a cute little card!

There was no sentiment listed on this card. I see it being used in a variety of ways.

Come back late for the second card that we created.

Glittery Cupcake Goodness - WMC30

My friend Natasha's little girl, Isabelle, just turned 1! Her birthday party theme was pink and cupcakes! So of course I had to make a glittery cupcake card for the little cutie!

I used the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp by Stampin Up. I cut the top off and used the stamped image. First I colored it all in with markers, used a glue pen to cover the whole cupcake top and added Dazzling Diamonds. Then I added jewels for some sprinkles! I then added some Crystal Effects to the cherry and let it all dry.

The bottom of the cupcake was used as a template. I first used the crimper to crimp some Early Espresso cardstock, then I adhered that to my cut out template and cut the crimped paper to match up and create the cupcake wrapper!

See the shiny cherry on top?! I got a little glitter in it but that's ok! Cherries can be glittery too!

And for the cupcake tag I used the hostess stamp set Birthday Bakery, some Early Espresso taffeta ribbon and of course I added some glitter too!!!

I am entering this card in Wee Memories' Challenge #30! The challenge was to create a Birthday Themed card. I think this one fits the challenge perfectly!!!

Color Combination: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Real Red, and Whisper White
