Look at those Flowers

This is another card that I recently made. I love the technique I used to make the flowers multi-colored. It's called thumping, I think!

It's really easy. First you color the stamp with the lighter shade marker. Then take the darker and thump the brush tip over the lighter color. This will help to blend the colors together and gives a great multi-colored flower look!

Sympathy Card

Here is another sympathy card that I made for my best freind's mom. This one was super simple and this design can really be used for almost anything!

The only hard part about the card was cutting out the leaf image. Don't you wish there was a punch for everything?

Simple, Cute Card

If you have the square scallop punch you can make this card in a flash! It was so easy, yet it's so darn cute! It would also be good for any event!

Have fun CASEing it!

Heart to Heart

We attended a baby shower (or baby party...men were there too) last weekend and I just wanted to share the card that I made for the new family! I love the new Heart to Heart punch! It's so great for borders. I used dimensionals to pop a few of the hearts up a little.

This ribbon is not Stampin Up but it was so cute that I just couldn't resist using it for this card. And I had recent watch a video by Kristina Werner so I had the visual of a great bow in my mind!

Feather Incident of 2009

So on Saturday night I noticed (when going to bed) that my pillows smelled like pee. We came to the conclusion that one of the dogs peed on them...GROSS! So I get up on Sunday morning and I put my 3 pillows in the washing machine. Now, I love to sleep on feather pillows. And I've washed them all before with no problems. But as we get ready to leave for church on Sunday morning, I was going to switch them all to the dryer. I open to the washer to find feathers EVERYWHERE!

2 pillows were still in tact but the oldest one had busted open! I threw the other 2 in the dryer and then left the rest of the mess for after church! So when we got home I started to clean up. I opened the dryer to find that there were also feathers everywhere in there cause there were on the other pillows too. So I was vacuuming the dryer out and noticed that they were all stuck in the lint trap! Grr... So I just moved on the washing machine!

The above picture was taken after most the feathers were taken out. Just imagine 20x more feathers in there! These feathers were wet so I had to touch most of them with my hand...yuck! And then I used the vacuum to get the rest!

Sam was not amused when I asked him for his help!

Here is the trash can with about 1/5th of the feathers!

There I am vacuuming after I ran the washing machine after time to make sure they were all out of the barrell!

And here is Sam vacuuming the dryer AGAIN!

What a mess! The moral to the story is...GET DOGS THAT DON'T PEE ON YOUR THINGS! GRRRR... (anyone want two dogs?)

The One with the Kraft Button

Here is the card that I promised you...

The large button is the Kraft Corduroy button that I am in love with! I also used the So Saffron Grograin Ribbon that was available only during SAB! And I again used a Sponge Dauber to put a little chocolate chip ink on the edges of the card. I sometimes forget about this technique but I really like it so I used it a lot while making these cards!

More tomorrow!

A Get Well Card

My best friend's mom asked me to create some cards for her. She asked for some Get Well and some Sympathy cards. So over the next few days I will show you what I created for her. She asked that I include a Bible verse on some of them. So I just printed those out on Whisper White cardstock.

I embossed the leaf image in white and used a sponge dauber to ink the edges of the cardstock in Chocolate Chip. I also used my new Kraft Tafeta ribbon. I think I really like this ribbon! You just can't go wrong with Kraft! Tomorrow I will show you a card that I made with my new Kraft corduroy buttons!!!

Easter Card from Grandma Kathy

Below you will see the Easter card that Grandma made for Brooke. Love the color combo! And I love the way the ribbon wraps around the card (I taught her that...but haven't used the technique in so long)!

Great work Mom!
