Friday Favorites

It's Friday Favorites time over at SSINKspiration today!  One of my favorites is the Project Life by Stampin' Up! Playground Card Collection...

#135300  $15.95

And here is my layout...

I had to add in a 6x8 page protector in there because I had a picture that was vertical and I didn't have a spot for it to be BIG (like the first day of Kindergarten demands)!

Here is what is one the back of my 6x8 page.

Here are a few drawings from my little Kindergarten student!

And here is the remainder of the week!

Here are a few of my favorite things about this layout...

I messed up when stamping the dates originally.  So I just stamped them on some cardstock and used my 3/4" Circle punch to pop them out!  FIXED!!

I created a little piece of 3"x4" notebook paper to journal on with the school page.  I just used my hole punches and some paper snips.  I love this technique!

This Snapshot Single Stamp is one of my favorites from the catalog.  It is perfect for any Project Life album!  It's all about capturing memories and that is what cameras help us do!  :)

Also if you have school age children here is what I have done for the past 2 years of school (Preschool and now Kindergarten)...

First Day picture!

First Day Interview.

This is why I love documenting life!  See how much my kiddos grew in just one year1  WOW!!

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout today!  Don't forget to visit the SSINKspiration main blog today to the current favorites of our other Design Team Members!

Watercolor Wednesday

It's Watercolor Wednesday over at SSINKspiration!  You won't want to miss these fun cards!

Here is mine...

I don't often take the time to watercolor since I love to create quick and easy cards.  BUT...one of my downline members showed me this fun and easy technique to watercolor a background and I loved it!

I used a size D clear block.  Inked half of the block directly with a Old Olive Ink Pad and then the  other half with an Garden Green Ink Pad.  You give it a spritz of water (or if you don't have that...Stampin' Mist) and then pressed directly onto a piece of Watercolor Paper!  Let it dry and it's done!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to head on over to the SSINKspiration main blog to see what the other Design Team Members have created for you!

Can You Case It? #33: Project Life

This week over at Can You Case It? it's time for a little Project Life LOVE!

I used the Playground Card Collection and Accessory Pack today!  I LOVE this kit to document pictures of my little kiddos!

Here is my layout...

Be sure to click if you want to enlarge and view details.  But here are a few of my favorite things about this layout...

Love, love, love this card that says "It's AWESOME being a KID"!  This is so true and we try to make it awesome in our house!  This summer we had a schedule.  We had: Mystery Park Monday, Time to Read Tuesday, Water Wednesday, Fun at Home Thursday and Fun Day Friday!  You can read the journaling cards on the above layout to see what we did for each of those days!

I love this card with the banners on it.  This card came printed just like this except I added in the TUESDAY with the stickers from the Accessory Pack!

This popsicle card is one of my favorites!  You will also see a few other new items on this card...STAMP SETS!  "#whatagreatmoment" came from the @SoSocial Stamp Set.  "remember this" came from the Project Life Remember This Stamp Set.  And the days of the week that I have been using on all of my layouts so far are from the Project Life Day to Day Stamp Set.

I love my picture from Saturday of that week...all of my favorite new stamp sets!  They are all mine and I can play with them! YAY!

To add the "Happiness Is..." to the top of my picture, I just trimmed my picture down about 1 inch and then adhered this cute Project Life card on the top!

Hope you enjoyed my layout!  Be sure to head on over to Can You Case It? to see what the other Design Team Members created for you this week!  You won't want to miss it!

Today over at SSINKspiration we are focusing on the stamp set: Amazing Birthday!

Here is the stamp set...

This is a very fun set!  There are a lot of different elements that work together well but also work separately!

Here is the card I created for today...

I love the color combination of In Colors that I used today: Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon and Tangelo Twist.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Please go and check out the SSINKspiration main blog to see what the other Design Team Members created for you to see!  The cards are pretty amazing today!

Quick & Easy Cards

It's time for another Quick & Easy Cards post over at SSINKspiration!  These are some ideas for when you only have a few minutes to create and you want to make a cute card!

Here is my Quick & Easy Card today...

The card is the standard 5.5" x 4.25" Crumb Cake card base.

The Mosaic look is so easy to re-create.  You simply take a 3" x 3" piece of DSP and cut it into 1" x 1" squares.  You will then glue it down to a 3.25" x 3.25" piece of Night of Navy.  Then another mat of Tagelo Twist that measures 3.5" x 3.5".

It's as easy as that!!

Be sure that you stop by the SSINKspiration main blog today to check out what the other Design Team Members have created for you today!

Supplies Used
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Tangelo Twist, Night of Navy
DSP: Flowerpot, Flashback
Stamp Set: Flower Patch
Ink: Garden Green
Tools: Paper Trimmer
Big Shot: Flower Fair
Embellishments: Designer Buttons - Subtles, Baker's Twine - Calypso Coral
Adhesives: Snail, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Two-Step Stamping

It's time for another Technique Tuesday over at SSINKspiration.  Today we are focusing on Two-Step Stamping.  This is such an easy technique because Stampin' Up! has a few stamp sets that are for this exact purpose!

Two-Step Stamping is simply stamping on top of another stamp.  And here is my card today...

I used the Flower Patch Stamp Set which is even easier to two-step stamp with because it's Photopolymer...totally clear able to be seen through.

Make sure you head on over the SSINKspiration main blog to see the other Two-Step Stamping samples that the Design Team created for you!   You won't want to miss them!

Supplies Used
Cardstock: Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Whisper White
DSP: Flowerpot
Stamp Set: Flower Patch
Inks: Night of Navy, Tangelo Twist

What is the Pick a Page Challenge you ask?  It's so easy...you pick a page of the catalog and get inspiration from it to make your card!

Here is my card for today's challenge...

I used the fun new stamp set from the Upcoming Holiday Catalog called Santa Stache!  Can you tell I'm a little obsessed with the mustache framelit?!  But you can't deny that this Santa is just ADORABLE!  Can you?

The page I picked to CASE from the big Idea Book & Catalog is page 107.  The card that CASEd is the one on the left of that page.  Can you tell how I changed it up a little but kept the basic design the same?

I hope you all will come play along with us this week!  You can link up on the CYCI32 post!

CASE the Catalog

The Stampin' Up! Catalog is FULL of INKspiration!  Sometimes when I don't know what to create or where to get started, I flip the catalog open to a page and just CASE the first thing I see.

CASE stands for Copy And Steal Everything!  But when you CASE a card, you can copy exactly or change the colors or the stamp set used as well.

That's what I did for my card today...

I CASEd a card from page 56 of the Idea Book & Catalog!  See if you can guess which one.  I changed the stamp set and the colors but the layout is basically the same!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Make sure you head on over to SSINKspiration to check out what the other Design Team Members created for you!  You won't want to miss these cards!

Supplies Used
Cardstock: Very Vanilla
DSP: Typeset
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Dude You're Welcome

Be sure to click if you want to enlarge and view details.  But here are a few of my favorite things about this layout...

The Playground Accessory Pack comes with 4 fun Printed Acetate Specialty Cards.  Above you will see one of them.  I just cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then slipped the acetate sheet over the cardstock so you could better see the details!

I love the fun star washi tape that comes in this Acessory Pack AND the Acrylic Star Stickers...you will find a lot of those on this layout!

For this little 4x6 block, I used a sticker from one of the sticker sheets and just torn both ends to make it look like washi tape!
