Scrapbook Club - July

I just wanted to get our July scrapbook club page on the blog!

This month our hostess wanted to add a little texture to the page.  So I brought out my embossing folders and opened my empty Stampin Spritzer bottles and created my own mist!  YAY!

You will see a few different embossing folders were used to make this layout: Chevron (my current favorite), Stripes and Perfect Polka-Dots!  I really love the way the Chevron looked on a punched 2-1/2" Circle!

I created templates of the 2-1/2" and 1-3/4" Circles with Whisper White paper (I found out the hard way that using colored cardstock will leave a ring of color when you remove your circel after misting!) and then used my on mist to create this look on my Crumb Cake cardstock base.  I created the mist using about 5 drops of reinker and then filling the rest of the bottle up with water...so cheap and easy!  I really wished that I had the Crumb Cake reinker for this layout but I didn't, so I used Soft Suede.

The best part about these empty spritzer bottles is that they come in a two-pack for only $2.95 USD!

Let me know if you have any questions!  :)

Reason to Smile

We started another round of Scrapbook Club this month and these ladies have been with me for years...together as a club...keeping me active as a demonstrator!  I don't do any parties or workshops, I have my club and I have a monthly crop (that I have taken a little break from)...so these ladies really help me out!

This month, besides of scrapbook layout, I wanted to do a little something extra!  So I used the Reason to Smile stamp set to make this cute little card!

I used a Crumb Cake card base with a layer of the new Midnight Muse on top of it.  Then I used the Chevron Embossing Folder on a piece of Raspberry Ripple cardstock for yet another layer.  I LOVE that Chevron EF!

I stamped the flower from Reason to Smile on Whisper White cardstock and then used the 1-3/4" punch to punch it out.  The "thank you" sentiment comes from the Made for You stamp set.  It was stamped on a rectangular pieceWhisper White cardstock.  Both WW pieces were adhered with dimensionals.  I then added buttons from the Regals Collection.  They were the closest to the In Colors I chose.  And added a little piece of Linen Thread on the button!

There you have it!

And don't forget that this month you can get the Reason to Smile stamp set for only $5 when you spend $50.  This is a limited edition stamp set and I have a feeling that you will love it!  :)

Mustache Man

It's been a while since I did a post talking about how much I love Echo Park!  So here is a page taht I made using some cute papers from the Times and Seasons Collection.  I just love that mustache design!!

I used Stampin Up cardstock in Cherry Cobbler as the base of this layout.  Then added in papers from the Times and Seasons Echo Park Collection and a little washi tape.  Quick, simple, cute...my style!

I don't know why mustaches are a current trend and I don't know how many times I can use them, but I do LOVE THEM!

July Blog Hop!

Welcome to this month's blog hop.  This month, I went with the theme birthday and I created nothing but cards!  You will see why in just a minute.

But first, my Grandma's 81st birthday was this past Sunday and we celebrated with a little party.  Here is the birthday card that I made for her!

My Grandma loves butterflies.  So I used the new Papillon Potpourri, the Patio Party DSP and the Elegant Butterfly Punch!  It all pulls together so nicely!  I just LOVE it!

I went for a Whisper White card base with another layer of Whisper White on top with dimensionals.  I love this look!  This card is super simple and could easily be recreated!

The sentiment comes from the NEW stamp set: Made for You.  For just $8.95 in clear mount, I couldn't pass up these three sweet sayings.  "happy birthday" "thank you" "especially for you"

And here is my project this month.  For my Grandma's present, I created 10 cards for her with my new favorite stamp set, DSP and punch!  Put with envelopes and tied with a cute little bow (ribbon is not Stampin Up...sorry) it makes such a cute little gift!  :)

So now I will show you the cards that I made for her pack.  I made 5 different designs...two of each design.

Card #1: Midnight Muse card base...I think this is my favorite new In Color!  Don't you love it?  This Patio Party paper also has: Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals in it!

Close up!

Card #2: I love banners these days!  This card is pretty straight forward.

The 1-3/4" Circle Punch punches out this circle design from the Patio Party DSP just perfectly!  And I really do thank SU for creating the Elegant Buttefly punch.  Without it, I would be cutting out a lot of butterflies because I always feel like they would be popped up on dimensionals with the wings bent up a little to add dimension!

Card #3: This card uses the Make a Cake stamp set.  I love this one...that cake is SO CUTE!  And don't you just adore that cupcake paper from the patio Party DSP???

Card #4: For the card base of this card, I used the In Color Raspberry Ripple.  Love how it looks with Midnight Muse!

I also love the effect that stamping directly on DSP give you!  Check it out!

Card #5: Sorry it's sideways...my computer was NOT letting me turn it the correct way...ARGH!  But this card was really, really simple!  Almost too simple for my liking but I have already given it to my grandma so I can't fix it now!

Hope you enjoyed all of the card creations you have seen here today.  Next time you need a present for someone that you know still likes to send letters...think about a cute pack of cards!

Please take some time to continue on the hop today!  I know I'm the end...but if you didn't start at the beginning...go there NOW!  These ladies are very talented and I want you to see all of their creations!

All smiles!

I love creating layouts with just one picture and just making it a one-page layout.  It's a nice break from trying to get 15 pictures on a two-page spread!  There is so much freedom to add embellishments and let's face it, the empty space really looks good too!

This layout was created for a picture of my son, Noah's, first tooth!  He got his first tooth when he was 7 months old!  Isn't he so cute here just smiling and showing it off???

I am very bad about remembering what company every item came from.  But I do know the cardstock base is Stampin Up's Soft Suede.  I surprised myself when I pulled it out because I normally don't like that color...but I think it really works with his ourfit and the other coordinating papers!

I love wood embellishments lately.  This wood buttong is just SO cute tied with twine!

Banners and flags are another love of mine these days!  And I am always likes that (now retired) Stampin Up thick striped ribbon!

Do you ever create a layout with just one picture on it?  You should try it today!  Link in the comments section if you post it online or blog about it!  I want to check it out too!
