SSINKspiration: New Year's Resolution

A few years ago, I resolved to not buy a purse or a pen for the whole year...the whole year!  It was tough because I was addicted to both but I did it and it REALLY cured my desire to purchase those two items!

So this year I'm taking it to a crafty level!  My 2014 Resolution is...NOT Buying Any Designer Papers (other than Stampin' Up!'s new prints that I might need for my classes and clubs)!

I buy a ton of other papers and I just don't need any more!  Wanna see...

I want it...but I don't need it!  It's kinda silly when you think about it.  Most of these papers are $1 each!  And I have hundreds of sheets just laying around!  I need to use them!  And so I will in 2014!

But that didn't stop me from making one last trip to Archiver's before January 1st!

I just couldn't help myself!  :)

P.S. I will lose at least 25 pounds this year and not eat fried food at all!  Now I'm accountable to you all!  Happy New Year!

Hiding In My Craft Room #129: CASE Yourself

Today at HIMCR we are CASEing ourselves!  CASE means, Copy And Steal Everything!  While we don't want you to "steal" everything, we want you to be inspired by a past project that you created!

For my project today I went way back...to 2008!  You can see what my crafting looked like 5 years ago here.

And now check out the cute card I created with Stampin' Up!'s December My Paper Pumpkin Kit...

The kit is actually supposed to be a little scrapbook but I don't really enjoy having mini albums around...12x12 scrapbooks are where it's at!  SO...I am going to use all of my supplies to create cards!

Today just happens to be my cousin's wedding and this is the wedding card I'm going to give the happy couple!  Along with about 100 Thank You cards that she can send to her friends and family for helping with the wedding or for the gifts that they receive!  I just started on them last night so wish me luck that I'm actually done by 6pm today!  :)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Make sure you stop by the HIMCR main blog to see what the other Design Team members created today and to enter to win a fun stamp set!!!

Today I am showing you the December Layout Sketch over at SSINKspiration!

Here is my take on the sketch...

I love these pictures of my daughter.  We were playing at a friend's house and she found a toy gun that she really wanted to play with.  The girls were standing up the princesses and then pretending to shoot them with the toy gun.

I asked, "What are you girls doing?"  And Brooke replies, "We line all the princesses up and shoot them down with the banger!"  I just cracked up!

Silly girls!

Do you see a few sneak peeks on this page?  Well they are...

*Word Bubble Framelits Dies

I think you are really going to love the NEW Occasions Catalog when it comes out in January!  Save your Christmas money!!!

Practical Scrappers: December Layout Sketch

It's time for the December Layout Sketch over at Practical Scrappers.  I love Layout Sketches!  They are the best thing to get you going when you just don't know what to do!

Here is our sketch this month...

And here is my take on it...

I just love this picture of my little man, Noah.  It was taken right after waking up from a nap about a year ago.  He still looks like this after nap time most days.  He just doesn't like to wake up...but Momma likes for him to go to bed later that night!

I used the the Echo Park Kit, Scoot for this layout.

I hope you enjoy my take on the sketch.  Be sure you stop by the Practical Scrappers main blog and see what the other ladies have been up to this week!
