Practical Scrappers: April Layout Sketch

Hey Everyone!  It's time for another layout sketch from Practical Scrappers

I just loved all of the details on this sketch!  So much to love and be inspired by!

And here is my layout...

I used a retired line from Stampin Up to create most of this layout!  The ice cream was just perfect with this picture of the time my girl stole my milkshake while we were eating at Winsteads!

I hope that you can play along with us.  If you want to post what you make, feel free to link up in the comments!  I would love to see it!

Be sure that you head on over to Practical Scrappers today to see what the other 14 designers did with the sketch this month!

My Paper Pumpkin: April Kit

Are you a member of Paper Pumpkin?!  If you aren't, you are missing out!  My Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up!'s new monthly kit that comes to your house every month for only $19.95 plus tax!

Here is what this month's card looks like...

Our kit contained supplies enough to make 4 cards just like the one above!  This stamp set is one of my favorites!  There are 3 stamps: "seriously", "you kick booty" and "love your guts"!

Of course I wanted to stretch my kit contents as much as I could.  SO...I added in other items I had in my craft room and here are two other cards that I came up with...

Added in some washi tape, a brad and a rhinestone jewel!

Love this card with an added Dahlia!

You will never be able to get this kit...BUT you can get in on the action and receive future kits!  Just head on over to www.MyPaperPumpkin.com and sign up for the monthly kit!  Choose me, Kim Ryden, as your demonstrator and you will get your starter kit in May!  What are you waiting for?!  Serious fun awaits!!

Hiding In My Craft Room #94: Banners!

Who likes banners more than me?  I don't know?!?!  It's a joke amongst the HIMCR Design Team that I just can't get enough and that I'm always using banners!  It's true...I'm in love!

So this challenge was for me!  Thanks Laurie!

Here is my card...

I used Stampin' Up!'s program, My Digital Studio to create my card again this week!  I just love how easy it is to use and how I can get my card to look just like handmade!!

Be sure to head over to the HIMCR blog to see what the other Design Team members have done with banners this week!  And remember...play along and win a prize!

Hiding In My Craft Room #93: Super Scraps Saturday

It's time for another HIMCR Challenge!  We are up to Challenge #93 and it's Super Scraps Saturday again!

This week we are sponsored by ScrapbookPal.com!  The lucky winner of this week's challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate!  WOW!

So here is my project...

I used Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio to create this tag for my nephew's birthday present.  You may be wondering how you can digitally make a something out of scraps.  Well...all of my crafting supplies are still packed in bags from my crop last weekend.  SO instead of unpacking, I just opened up My Digital Studio on my computer and used the kit that I currently had opened from the last time!

Make sure you go to the HIMCR blog today to check out what the other Design Team members have in store for you!

Practical Scrappers: Project Life

Good Morning!  Today over at Practical Scrappers a few of us are sharing our Project Life layouts with you.  I use Project Life to document my Picture of the Day...basically I take one picture per day or our every day lives, add in a little journaling and DONE!

This year I have a smart phone so I find myself taking and using for my Project Life album, a lot of Instagram pictures.  If you don't already know, you can have these printed and then will be 4"x4".

The slots for the pictures in this album are 4x6.  So for my Instagram pictures to be that size, I adhere them to a 4x6 grid card with washi tape and then slip them in the photo slot!  This is a quick and easy way to get them in there and add a pop of color!

Other than a few other accents here and there, I just keep it simple and use the cute cards that Becky Higgins already put together in the Seafoam kit!

I hope that you enjoyed seeing a little glimpse into my Project Life album.  Make sure you head over to the the Practical Scrappers blog today to see how other crafters are using these albums!

Practical Scrappers: Ten Things - Corner Rounder

I'm joining the Ten Things team again this week at Practical Scrappers.  This week we are showing you 10 things to do with the corner rounder.

And here is my project...

I used the corner rounder (which I don't use too much any more...to be honest) to create double-layer petals for a cute little flower on this card.  I go the idea from Pinterest...of course!!!  See the pin here.

I love the look of a square with 2 rounded corners!  I just love it!

Be sure to go check out what the other design team members created this week over on the Practical Scrappers blog!
