Long Time...no post!

I know...it's been a long time since I've posted! I hope you all are doing well. I just wanted to post the results of my cardboard challenge. There are some very creative things that people came up with.

This picture frame was made by my mother in law, Jean...HOW CREATIVE!! And what a great Christmas present! And so cheap too!

This ornament was made by my sister in law, Krystal. So cute!!! Great Christmas present as well!

This last one is a key chain made by Jean. How cute?!

There were some very creative things that were made with Cardboard! GREAT job!

Next Challenge: Make a Christmas card without using red or green and without using a traditional Christmas stamp set! I know you all will come up with something great!

Happy Stamping,
Kim :)

Challenge Cards

Look at these cute cards that I received after I posed the challenge of creating cards using Stampin Up's Designer Series Papers.

This first one is using paper that is now retired but look how cute it is...made by Kathy Rogers.

These next two cards were made using the Dashing paper. I love this paper! It's so cute! The colors of the paper are White, Real Red, Old Olive and River Rock. If you like this paper too you should make plans to attend my next 10 cards for $10 event on 11/24! Both cards were made by Kathy Rogers

This next card was made my Jean Ryden and also using a retired paper...look how cute!

Until next time! Have a great stamping day! Kim :)

Product Challenge

Did you know that SU is having a sale this month?!!! Check it out by clicking the word sale! If you don't have time to click the link, let me give you the details...

Buy 3 packs of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and get one for FREE! That's a $9.95 value...for FREE!

So, since the Designer Series Paper is on sale, I want to see you make a card or scrapbook page using Stampin Up's Designer Series papers. If you don't have any DSP, this is a great time for you to think about purchasing some on your next order! They are great! But if you want to complete a card or scrapbook page now for this challenge, you will have to make your own decorative paper using stamps and inks!

I will post all creations that I receive by next Wednesday! Please send a picture or the actual card to me at demokimsu@yahoo.com.

Happy Stamping!

Class Projects

I just want to thank everyone for coming out to my house last night. The 6 of use had a really great time! Below you will see the projects that we created...

This "Give Thanks" 6x6 scrapbook page is the perfect place for a Thanksgiving picture of your family. We put it in a 6x6 frame that I found in the Target Dollar Spot for only $1 each a while back! Very cute!

Don't you just love this napkin ring? The base of the ring is a 2x3 piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock with twine stapled to it. You cover up the staples with the leaves from the stamp set Autumn Fest! I just love this stamp set!

Placecard. Easy, simple, cute!

This is the mini album that you can add pictures to or you can simply have everyone write what they are thankful for in the blank spaces. I love the fall colors: More Mustard, Really Rust, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip!

Keep your eyes peeled for more classes that I will be having! In December we will be doing a calendar class. Everyone in attendance last night really liked the idea and I hope you do too!

Happy Stamping!

Thanksgiving Class - TONIGHT!

I am so excited about the class that I'm having tonight! I will be hosting a Thanksgiving Decor class at my house tonight. There will be 5 lucky people in attendance!

We will be making the placecard to the left, a napkin ring, framed art, and a mini album to have all family members write what they are thankful for.

I had so much fun creating the projects for this class! Take a look at my messy crafting area that I have to clean up before you all come over tonight!

Happy Stamping until I see you again! - Kim :)

Color Challenge Postings

Happy Monday everyone. Don't you feel all rested after the Daylight Savings time change! I love it in the morning now...I actually wake up on time because it's semi-light out!
Last week I called for cards using the color combination that you can find in the below post. I received two cards and they are so CUTE!
The first card came from my Mother-in-Law, Jean Ryden. She did a great job of showing us the spotlighting technique. If you have never tried this one, take a look at her card below to be some inspiration and try your own. This is a fun technique!

The second card that I received came from my Mom, Kathy Rogers. What a cute card! Notice that she used the Word Window punch to puch out words from the hostess stamp set, So Many Sayings. What a great idea!
I hope that you all have enjoyed the samples that I received. Keep your eyes peeled for another color challenge this week that will have an added twist!

Friday Fun!

It's Friday! Yeah! I haven't seen any comments this whole week! Ugh!

I hope that you all have a relaxing weekend and that you can find a little time to stamp! I will be scrapbooking tonight with my church group and then on Sunday we are having a 10/$10 at my mom's house! YEAH!

I just thought for Friday I would let you see a picture of my husband at the Omaha Zoo. What a silly guy!

10.23.2007

Sorry it's been so long guys! I have been so busy at work and when I get home it's all about relaxing! But I want to show you a little of what I made at the last CROP.

This 12x12 white clipboard hangs in my cubicle and will show case scrapbook pages! This one is of me and my freind Colette at Stampin Up's Convention! I will change out the page every once in a while! How cute is that?!

This 9x9 chipboard clipboard is also hanging in my cubicle and is used as my calendar! I made a 7x7 page using the Calendar background stamp! How cute! I will make a new page for every month! Very cute!
If you were at my Technique Club last night, I want to say thanks for coming and hope you enjoyed your projects!
Have a great week and I hope to stamp with you soon!
Kim :)

6x6 Scrapbook Idea

Look at this cute album that I got on Ebay! I know it's not Stampin Up but I have to admit that I'm getting a little tired of just having 4 colors of albums to choose from with SU! I wanted something fun and in a great color and look at this cute album that I found. "What are you going to use it for?" you ask. Keep reading!

Since I don't have children (only 2 dogs that are standing in for kids for now) I have a lot of time to get crafty and think of new ideas for scrapbooks that I might not get to do in the future. I'm hoping this album idea will continue one throughout the years, even when I do have kids to take up my scrapbooking time!
The purpose for this album is to be a journal. There are so many things that I don't have pictures of that I really want to remember. Things like a feeling that I have when I'm with a certain someone, something that God has blessed me with, a good recipe, a quote that someone says, the joy I feel on a certain day....and the list goes on!
This book will be complied mostly of pages that don't include pictures. I can't wait to see how it goes! I have a few rules for my pages though. If I have the urge to complete a page about a certain topic, I have to do it that day or the next. I can't make a list of things that I want to scrapbook...then it won't be filled with the true emotion of the moment.
So what do you think? Want to start a scrapbook journal of your own?

New Things!

I got a few new things this week. Check them out below...
This is side #1 of the Creepy Crawly double-sided Designer Series Paper. So cute!

Side #2! Still cute! Good thing you get 2 sheets of each of the papers!

This is my favorite sheet in the whole paper pack! You can use this paper too when you come to my Halloween class on Oct 18th!

I haven't had new ribbon in SO long! I was so excited when I got these! Purely Pomegranate Doubel Stitched, Wild Wasabi Double Stitched, Old Olive Wide Organdy, and Grey Tafeta! I can't wait to use these new ribbons! And you can use them too at my next 10/$10...Oct 13th from noon to midnight!

Presents!

I am giving someone a craft tote tomorrow. Her mom already has one exactly like it so I decided to label hers with some cute chipboard that was inked with craft ink and embossed in clear over top. I stamped the K in Stazon ink and used some cute ribbon to finish it off.

This is a cute charm that I made for some snips that go along with the bag above! I just tied the chipboard circle on with some ribbon and look how cute it is! I think I will have to make some for myself! What do you think?

10.05.2007

Yeah for Comments!

Thank you Jean Ryden for my first comment! I can't wait to hear from all of you! Come back later this weekend to see a few of the current scrapbook pages that I've made! Happy Friday!

Halloween Class

I am so excited about my Halloween Class on October 18th (7-8:30pm)!

Look at this cute card that we will be making! I love the detail of the black embossing using the Spooky Skyline Jumbo Wheel on the black paper. I also love the cute little spider from the stamp set Booglie Eyes.

The cute box to the right is the perfect size to hold a yummy treat.
This little mummy comes from the Booglie Eyes stamp set as well. Also note the way that the Weathered background stamp was used! What a great idea!
I hope to see you all at my class on the 18th! Let me know if you have any questions!
More tomorrow!
Kim :)
