This Weekend...

I did something I have been meaning to do for a LONG time!

I labeled my albums!!

I had purchased these album labels a LONG time ago and decided that I should finally use them. I had 24 labels and I had to order more...WOW! But now my friends and family can see what is in each albums before even opening it!

Congrats on Your Baby!

A few weeks ago it seemed like I needed 10 "Congrats, You're having a baby!" cards. So I set out to make a few! Above you will see what I came up with. I just love this Basic Grey stamp that I got in the $1.99 spot at Archiver's "So very Happy, Happy, Happy for you"! the other stamp is from a retired Stampin Up stamp set, Swell News. I just love this color combo!!

Free Cozy Coupe!

My sister works for Toys R Us and every once in a while they have damaged product that comes back to the warehouse. Well they can't sell it, but it's still good! SO...get give it to their employees for FREE!!

A while back Aunt Erica picked up this Cozy Coupe for Brooke. We waited quite a while to actually use it...had to wait for nice weather. But Easter afternoon seemed to be the perfect time to give Brooke her new toy.

Daddy and Grandpa put it together and then Brooke asked Grandpa to take her for a ride! The newest Cozy Coupes have a removeable floor so that the kiddos can be pushed in the car before they get the hand of using their legs to push themselves. GENIUS!

I just love this layout. I pulled together some polka dot papers that I had and added a stripe and that's about it. I'm a simple scrapbooker most of the time! I like to focus on the pictures and the words the most!

Don't you just love my cute little girl in her first car???

My Little Shoebox

My friend Danielle introduced me to My little Shoebox products. Their papers are so much fun to work with. AND...they are having a design team call right now so I thought I would apply. Here is what I made...

I cut this big 12x12 scallop paper down to fit on this card, added a stitch line with a white gel pen, and of course I couldn't complete the card without a little satin ribbon. I had to look up Kristina Werner's "How to Tie a Knot" video. It's so good and I think I got it!

I created this layout using one of their 12x12 scallop circle papers and a cute squirrel paper. I thought that a page about a cute scrunched up face deserved a little squirrel action! My favorite part (besides the cute pictures) is that cute little squirrel sitting on top of the button!

This second layout is a picture from Valentine's Day 2010. I just love how it came together with the little die cuts from My Little Shoebox and a ruffled ribbon from Stampin Up! So cute!!

Then we were told to make one project. This plastic container used to hold ribbon but I took it out and thought that it would make a really cute wedding giftcard holder! Cut out a few little squirrels, added some satin ribbon, and there you have it! Such a cute little way to say, "Congrats"!

We don't find out for another month who is on the new design team, but I'm crossing my fingers that I get to join!

Mother's Day!

Whew! It's been a while since I have posted anything on my craft blog. I think it might have something to do with the overload of pictures that I took and the blogging I did on my personal blog for the Week in the Life project I did last week. Here are the posts from that so you can check them out:
So that is what I was busy with for a while last week. And while I was doing that I had a garage sale (those always take a lot of time) and then it was Mother's Day and I had to do a few crafty things for that. SO....no more excuses! I'm back to blogging!
Here is the Mother's Day card that I made for my mother and my mother-in-law and 9 other friends. HECK...my own husband even gave this card to me! HA ha!
This was made with a card kit that I had extras of. I just stamped the same and then added the Happy Mother's Day to it. I used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and that cute "Happy Mother's Day" comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set! I used the Scallop circle punch and the Scallop border punch. They just seemed Motherly and girly!

11 Months

This layout of pictures from Brooke's 11 month photo shoot, was made using the "U R Sweet" Simply Scrappin Kit! I just LOVE this kit!

I tried to tie in the stars on her shirt by using the stars from the kit!

And I don't know if you can tell in this picture, but I sprayed the chipboard with Smooch Spritz (will be available in the Summer Mini for $4.95/ color...4 colors: Gold Glow, Silver Foil, Vanilla Shimmer, and Log Cabin). I have the Vanilla Shimmer and I love it!

Halloween

Ok...I know it's May 1st, but I have a Halloween layout to show you! This one is for Brooke's "First Year" book.

I started this layout by using a big piece of scallop paper to trace onto my halloween paper! I make templates of some papers so that I can trace and make them again. It's a super easy way to get the look you want on each page you create!

I had to use my satin ribbon again too! I just love that stuff! I can't wait to get my hands on my Real Red that should be coming in the mail soon!
