As many of you may remember from this post, I came up with 10 goals to accomplish this year. I updated you after the first quarter of the year in this post. And now since the year is half over, I thought I should give you all an update! Some things are done, some have been set back a little, and some I'm right on track to finish in December. So here goes...
So I started the year at 175lbs., weighed in at 178lbs. on April 1st. I then gained another 5 lbs and started my weight loss journey at 183lbs.
And since the end of the weight loss challenge I have lost another pound for a total of 13 pounds this year. I weigh in at 170 now!!! And our team still works out together and we have decided to keep the weigh ins once a week and email each other to share the results. We all have more weight to lose.
Goal #2: Finish taxes but the end of February. COMPLETE!
COMPLETE!! I am happy to say that I got this done by their 2nd anniversary at the end of May!
Goal #4: Read 12 Books.
I read 4 books in the first quarter of the year:
Stretch Marks by Kimberly Stuart
Such A Pretty Fat by Jen Lancaster
Since then, I have read 8 more books:
Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn
Alphabet Weekends by Elizabeth Noble
The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
I Heart Bloomberg by Melody Carlson
Let Them Eat Fruitcake by Melody Carlson
So there are my 12 for the year! YAY!
But I still have more reading to do. Currently reading:
The Trophy Wives Club by Kristin Billerbeck
Goal #5: Make a Fondue Dinner. I think this sounds like something great for the fall months!
As you can see it kinda looks worse than it did in April! I got rid of a lot of stuff at our garage sale in May but there is always more! I need to get to work!!!
Goal #7: Clock 3 miles of cardio at the gym.
I hated counting this...I had a spreadsheet but then I would forget to record it when I got home from the gym. SO...I have amended this goal to say:
I will run a full 5K. I recently started the Couch to 5K running program with my friends. We are in week 3 right now and going strong!
In May we went to Buca de Beppo and then out to see Robin Hood. Brooke spent the night with her Grandparents so we had the whole night to ourselves!
Goal #10: Write a Will. STILL haven't started on this one!
So there you have it. My update for July 1st, 2010! I will be back in October for another update and hope to have more items crossed off my list!!!

WOW! Like I said before, you are brave, motivated, and maybe, just a little bit CRAZY :)! But congratulations on all that you've accomplished so far! And I know that you'll tackle what's left, too! Go, Kim!! "The Shack" is still my all-time favorite book. I could read it again and again and again! "Mommywood" looks like fun. I've been eyeing it on the shelves.
