I thought I would play along this week at Just Add Ink. I had my 12 hour CROP this weekend and this is one of the pages that I completed...with journaling and all!
For every month of the first year of my kiddos' lives, I create a layout of my favorite pictures of them. This a layout about my favorite pictures of Noah at 11 months! Enjoy! (Click to enlarge.)
I started this layout with an Early Espresso cardstock base! The other papers on this layout came from MME and Simple Stories.
The stamps are from Close to My Heart. And the sticker embellishment comes from MME as well!
When I scrapbook, I rarely stamp on my pages...there is just so much other stuff that could be going on in the scrapbooking world. But since this challenge was for Just Add Ink, I figured that I should use ink and stamping!
I love the look of hand-printed journaling! I love my Mom's handwriting...it's just another way that I am connected to her, I could pick it out anywhere. And I hope that my kiddos feel the same way when they grow up!
Here is the color challenge that inspired me...
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a super day!

Your page is stunning Kim. What a great idea to do a month per page.
The photos are beautiful too and I totally agree with you on using your own handwriting. It will mean so much more to your family than a computer font, I'm sure it will be treasured.
Great way to use our colours. Thanks for playing along at JAI.
The colour blocking on your layout looks fantastic, Kim. What a beautiful, smiley, little boy you have. Gorgeous work. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Add Ink this week :)
Wow - there are so many aspects to your pages that I love. It's fantastic - I love the way you have put the color pics on one side and the B&W on the other - while one side has the large blocks of colour and the other has more pics.....just awesome. Chantell JAI
Gorgeous double page LO Kim!! Gorgeous photography and love your handwriting..wish mine was so neat!
LOVE IT! The colors, patterns, just adorable...not to mention that sweet little guy. I need to get better about using my own handwriting because I totally agree with you that it's important for the kids. I just don't like mine very much. :)
