Back at the Challenges!

Well now that you all know I'm pregnant...I have to tell you that being in the 2nd trimester is AWESOME! I feel so much better. I feel like getting off the couch and enjoying my nap time creating cards and scrapbook pages again (between loads of laundry, of course)!

So here is a card that I used two challenges to complete! I love it so much and I hope you do too!
The first challenge was for Play Date Cafe. They have a color challenge every week and this week was to use black and white with only a splash of color.
The second challenge was for Get Sketchy. They have a sketch every week and I just love them!

Here is my card! My hubby has started to travel more with his new job and he leaves again on Monday to head to California for 8...maybe 11 days. So this is a little card that I will leave in his suitcase so while he's away he will find it from me!

I started this card with a black base. I then cut a white mat down to 5.25x4 inches. The white mat was spritzed with black ink and then sponged on the edges with Melon Mambo ink (I love that color)!

The ribbon came from a little online store that I discovered...The Ribbon Jar. The decorative papers came from the the Echo Park: Be Mine line. I love anything Echo Park! And the sentiment came from my FAVORITE Papertrey Ink stamp set: Signature Greetings.

Hope you enjoy my card and I will see you back here tomorrow for more crafty goodness!

First of all, I'm so glad that you're feeling better! Secondly, love, love, LOVE it, Miss Kim, from the way you've embellished your squares to your ribbon ruler to your distressing! I'm sure Sam will treasure it. We'll try to take your mind off him being gone, at least during the playdate with our girls, next week ;). Thank you so much for taking the time to join us over in The Cafe this week!

Now I have to share my giggle moment...when I read Jinny's comment about taking your mind off during the playdate with our girls, I was thinking Yep, come on back to the Playdate Cafe next week too! THEN, I realized she was talking about your kids! LOL, Duh!! But we would love to have you back for some more fun next week too! :D Thanks for splashing with us at The Play Date Cafe!!
