February 10 Cards for $15, Pt. 1

Each month at my crop I create 5 different card designs for others to make. They make 2 of each design and get envelopes for $15. Here are 2 of the cards we made last month...

This card was made using the Medallion background stamp (#115223, $17.95). We inked it in Regal Rose then used a sponge dauber and Real Red ink to create the two-toned effect. We also sprayed the inked stamp with one mist of water before stamping on the Whisper White cardstock. Then you adhere a black brad in the center, glue together the layers and use a black marker to free-hand a line around the white piece.

Sometimes I leave my cards without sentiments so that people can choose what they want. I also find this is great so when I need a card for a certain event; I can just pick it out, stamp the needed sentiment, and go! It saves the problem of having 10 birthday cards and no thank yous!

We started this card by stamping the Sanded background stamp (#109294, $17.95) on the Old Olive card base. Both of the DSPs on this card are from the Welcome Neighbor DSP 6x6 pad (Sale-A-Bration Item# 118401, item free with $50 purchase). The white piece is one of our Sending Love Notes, Kisses (#118779, $3.95 (20 pieces)). The ribbon is Crushed Curry Polka-Dot (#115614, $9.95 for 15 yds). And the stamp sets we used are both from the Occasions Mini Catalog: Fox and Friends (Wood Mount: #117020 $18.95, Clear Mount: #118565 $14.95) AND Tiny Tags (Wood Mount: #118091 $22.95, Clear Mount: #118592 $16.95).
