I used the hubby's (I don't drink coffee) left over coffe to create this nice textured background for my card! I just had a plate with a little coffee on it and used a cup, dipped the cup in the coffee and stamped it on the Whisper White cardstock. I also was sure to put a few drops here and there!
One of the best parts about it is that it smells like coffee too! I don't like to drink it but I do love to smell it!
The stamp set I used is: Heart-2-Heart Mini Stamp Set #1. So cute and there is even a die to match it! Although it's really not a hard image to hand cut...that's what I did...but I do love to cut!
Welcome to another week with Craft Your Passion! The challenge this week is to use banners somewhere on your project. If you have been a blog reader for a while, you know that's not hard for me to do. Banners are a go to design element for me!
This week we are sponsored by Birdie Brown. I got the pleasure of working with the image: Puppy and Chick. All of the images over at this store are just SO CUTE! Make sure to go check them out and enter a card in this week's challenge in order to win some free images!
Here is my card...
I hope you all enjoy this simple but cute little Spring card. It's coming...Spring is coming...Spring is coming...I say as we expect another 10" of snow in Missouri today. UGH! We just got 12" last week...a few days of break and then here is comes again! Wish us luck!
Make sure to stop by the Craft Your Passion blog to leave some love for all of the other members of the design team!
Hey Everyone! This week at HIMCR we are creating a project using a kit. If you are like me, you have a lot of kits laying around your craft room. This could be a scrapbook club kit that you subscribe to, a kit from a store or just a pack of coordinating papers!
For my card, I used a kit by My Mind's Eye called: On the Bright Side. The kit includes a few papers and some die cuts to match!
I started this card with a Kraft cardstock base. I then added on a a piece of the designer paper, a few die cuts and a button tied with twine!
I had so much fun creating with this sketch by Liz! Here is my layout...
Isn't my little man just SO CUTE?! These pictures were taken for a photo contest that my friend Jessica Strom was having. All the little guys wore fake mustaches and then were voted on by family and friends to find a winner. Noah didn't win, but he sure was stinkin cute and will always be a winner in my book!
Here are the supplies that I used for my project (to the best of my memory)...
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango (Stampin' Up!, SU)
Designer Paper: Studio Calico, Echo Park, My Mind's Eye, SU
Stickers: Studio Calico, EK Success
Stamp: Hero Arts - Studio Calico
Ink: Black StazOn (SU)
Hope you liked my layout this month! Make sure to check out all of the fun interpretations of this sketch over at Practical Scrappers today!
For this card, I started with a Soft Suede cardstock base (Stampin Up, SU). I then added on a few layers of the NEW More Amore DSP (SU).
I used these colors to color in my image: Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Real Red and Primrose Petals.
A few heart brads from Making Memories finished off this card.
So easy and super cute! I hope you all can play along with us this week at Craft Your Passion. Just make a Valentine and link it up before the end of the day on Sunday and you could win this week's prize! YAY!
Hey Everyone! It's that time again...time to get our your scraps and play along!
Just make a card using scraps and enter you card on the HIMCR blog!
It's kinda hard to believe that this card was made totally out of scraps...but it's TRUE!
The card base is about 3"x3". I used the new Core'dinations cardstock in Cherry Cobbler and sanded that a bit around the edges. I then used this cute doily heart from the More Amore DSP pack by Stampin Up. I had cut it out to use on another card earlier this week but just didn't like how it was looking. So it was sitting on my table, ready to be used!
I filled in the heart with various pink buttons! Then I added a cute heart banner from the WPlus9 Stamp Set: Banner Love. Unfortunately it looks like it's out of stock right now! :( The banner was stamped on a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock and adhered tot he buttons with dimensionals.
I think that completes the details of my card this week. Make sure to check out all of the other projects from the Design Team and play along with us this week!
This week we were supposed to create a Birthday Card with Polka Dots.
I just love the new stamp set, Henry Says (Stampin Up). I thought he was the perfect polka dot addition to this birthday card! If you think so too, go ahead and VOTE FOR ME this week too and help me get to the top 15!! The link to vote is at the bottom of this post.
Hey Everyone! Welcome to another Stylin' Stampin' Blog Hop! Hopefully you are joining from Pamela's blog (Isn't her fabric creation SO CUTE?!). If you didn't come from her blog, be sure to continue through the hop and catch all 14 stops...you won't want to miss any of them!
This month we are all playing with fabric! Did you know that Stampin Up sells fabric?! It's on page 170-171 of the big Idea Book and Catalog. And fabric is for more than just sewing! Fabric can add great texture and dimension to a card or a scrapbook page.
I used the Summer Smooches fabric (#125411) for my card. This fabric comes with 3 extra-wide fat quarters (27"x18"), each is a different design.
The middle flower is made up of 4 flowers stacked on top of each other and then stapled together. I added a button from the Brights collection to each flower and tied them all with Linen Thread.
I finished this card by using my Crumb Cake marker to draw a teeny, tiny scallop along the top and the bottom of my DSP. And I used the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set, Bloomin' Marvelous, to add a sentiment to this card.
I hope that you enjoyed my card and that you next the next button to visit Justin's project this month! You won't want to miss it!
Well I have an announcement for you all...I am now a permanent part of the Craft Your Passion Design Team! I loved working with them so much as a Guest Design Team member than I applied for a permanent spot and was chosen! Thanks Ladies!
So here we are with a new challenge for the week: Challenge #148...Pastels, no dark colors.
This week we are sponsored by The Digi Garden. It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that the owner of this online store passed away last week. Jacqui you will be missed and to her family and friends, I will keep you all in my prayers. I pray that you find peace in this sadness.
I decided that since it's almost Valentine's Day, I would have Joe fishing a candy heart out of the sea. And what is the sea made of??? Buttons of course!
Hope you all enjoy my card. Please head on over to the Craft Your Passion blog to see what the other members of the design team are up to today! I know you are going to love all of their cards as well!
I am also linking this card up to Card Making Mamas blog for their LOVE challenge! Play along and you could win all 10 images we used this week! WOW!
Good Morning! It's the WEEKEND! YAY!! I am coming to you with another HIMCR Challenge! It's the first Saturday of the month so we are working on our Color Challenge! The color for this challenge is RED (and remember that pink is a form of red)!
Here is my card...
I started this card with a Kraft card base. Then I added in some Little Yellow Bicycle designer paper...love that heart paper! On top of that I layered some pink washi tape and added on a few pink and red heart brads!
I then added on a Jenni Bowlin Bingo Card and a few other embellishments that I had in my stash!
I love Valentine's Day! I think I love it the most because I love creating with pink and red and hearts!! It's just so fun!
Please make it a point to stop by the HIMCR blog today to check out what the other members of the Design Team came up with using their REDS!
